Frequently asked questions
CSA is an acronym for Community Supported Agriculture. And essentially, it's a subscription to a local farm. Like your Netflix subscription, except you get a weekly "episode" of the season’s best harvest, delivered to your front door.
The Investment: Community members (often called "shareholders") pay for a "share" of the harvest before the growing season begins. This provides the farmer with the upfront capital needed to buy seeds, maintain equipment, and cover labor costs. With Lot & Acre's subscription model, members are not asked to pay everything (all 20 weeks) up front. Rather, it's a pay-as-you-go weekly subscription for $60 (taxes and delivery included), with reservations available now (reservation includes the first delivery starting June 1st). Then you're billed weekly with an invoice you can pay at your convenience. Our season begins Monday, June 1st, and runs until Thursday, October 15th. Cancel anytime.
The Reward: In return, members receive regular deliveries—weekly—of whatever produce is currently ripening. Produce is harvested 24 hours before delivery. Fresh means fresh. Members eat in harmony with the natural calendar. Members know exactly where and how their food is grown.
Each weekly box is 18x12x12. It's packed to the brim, with more than enough produce for 4 people.
Our growing season runs from June 1st through October 15th, and because we follow the natural growing cycle, the contents of each crate change every week based on what's ripening from spring through summer and into the fall.

Going on three seasons now. Growing (no pun) a little bit bigger each season. We plan on adding more variety and products with time. We started with 25 members, which gave on to 60 members, and now we're gunning for one-hunnert.
